Nails- Golden Speckles

Hey dolls . . .
so today is a day were I sat down and decided to paint my nails another colour, and I thought why not do a post on my nail design!
So it's kind of like a tutorial on how to create this really simple but elegant nail design for yourself... here we go!
First off for this nail design you will need
1) A base coat, I didn't use one today as mine has ran out
2) A base colour, I used the Barry M gelly hi shine in lychee
3) A glitter nail polish, I used a cheap one I had in my tin with different sized gold glitters
4) A top coat, Essie 'good to go' fast drying top coat

*I only just bought the Essie 'good to go' fast drying top coat, so there will be a review coming up sometime soon on this product*

So to get started I would recommend to apply a base coat nail polish as it will give a smoother surface for the design and also protect your nail, after that has dried your then ready to apply the first coat of your base colour I used Barry M Gelly Hi Shine in Lychee... so a nice nude colour which I think will suit all skin tones. Then after the first layer has dried you could apply another layer if the polish isn't that opaque. (I did just to be on the safe side haha)
Once you've applied as one or two layers of your base coat it should look like this. . .

Then once the base colour has completely dried it's time to apply the glittery nail polish, for this I just used a cheap one which I found in my nail polish tin. . . I like how the polish itself has different sized glitters running through it but it doesn't half smell funny, very chemically haha.
When applying this coat you could do a few different designs, two designs that I like is when you paint the ring finger and the thumb nail or just the accent finger itself. Like this

Or you could apply it to all your nails which is what I ended up doing in the end . . .

Then once you have applied the glittery layer to all the nails you choose, you simply just leave to dry for a minute or so and then apply a layer of top coat to finish off the drying process. For this I used my new Essie 'good to go' fast drying top coat.

There you have it, my nail tutorial for a simple, very neutral inspired, glitzy nail design!
Hope you liked it : )

New Beauty Buys . . .

Hey everyone, so I know I said I would try and post something everyday . . I don't think I will be able to for the next few days as I'm not well, I woke up this morning and all day today I've not been good, I won't go into details because its not very nice : (

So I thought id share with you the latest beauty products that I have bought recently (the other day) hahahah I've called it beauty buys instead of a haul as there isn't enough items for a haul (and I don't really like the word haul)

Here they are . . .

I went to boots the other day and they were doing a fantastic offer where it was 3 for 2 on all beauty, haircare and skincare products. So I bought . . .
1) Barry M Gelly Hi Shine Nail Polish in Blueberry (I've wanted it for ages)
2) Rimmel Kate Moss Lasting Finish Lipstick -shade 101
3) Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer -fair 1

So im not sure if im gonna post anything for the next few days or not, think I might just try and sweat my illness out and get better!
But I hope you all have a fantastic easter!

DIY -Baby Blanket Update

Hi guys so im sorry this isn't an exciting post or anything but i did promise i was gonna try and post something everyday, i had planned other things but i just didn't get round to doing it as i went shopping today and i was really tired when i got in, so just went to sleep! : )

But i thought instead of not posting i thought id do a update on how my first DIY project is coming along . . .

I know it doesn't look like ive done much but, i started it and at first i was gonna do two different stitches... a knit stitch as a boarder and then a pearl stitch inside the boarder, i had knitted all the knit stitches and had started my pearl stitches but then it started going funny there was too many loops on, some were crossed over. . . which got me quite stressed and upset to be honest, so i decided to un ravel it all and start again but just to knit it all!:)

So heres where im up to so far! Im really loving it, and im planning on knitting other things once ive finished this one! : )
